Bethesda supporters understand what it means to "make a life by what we give." Besides offering financial support that defines their beliefs, they derive great satisfaction in knowing how they have helped to change and save lives in our community.

Bethesda Foundation Inc., formed in 1974, is a nonprofit foundation that supports Bethesda and its entities by cultivating philanthropic support for patient services, facilities, program and service development, indigent care, medical education and research.

Much of the Foundation's work in the early years was the preservation of endowment funds and the funding of capital needs that helped Bethesda expand its services in the 70s and 80s. Today the Foundation still supports the needs of the hospital but does so with a loftier goal of keeping Bethesda North Hospital at the forefront of leading-edge technology and dynamic community outreach programs.

Whether it's expanding care, physical space or minds through research, Bethesda Foundation continues to partner with generous donors to bring the highest level of health care to our community. We invite you to join the Foundation in our efforts to improve the health of our community!
