Honoring those who have improved the quality of life for cancer survivors, the first annual Mary Jo's Angels event
was hosted by the Bethesda Foundation on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Manor House in Mason. Nearly 400
people were on-hand to celebrate the selfless and compassionate hearts of five honorees, including Darlene Green,
Judy Jackson, Betty Powley, the Sand Dollar Sisters and Nancy Sholder. More than $200,000 was raised for clinical
research at the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Care on the Bethesda North Hospital campus.
Bethesda Foundation would like to give special thanks to title sponsor, the Robert Cropper Family and presenting
sponsors, Auxiliary of Bethesda Hospital, TriHealth Cancer Services and TriHealth Women's Services. Nominations
for the next event will be accepted in Fall 2012.
