HOSPICE
Hospice of Cincinnati is the community not for profit hospice offering the most comprehensive care options throughout Greater Cincinnati. No one is refused care based on lack of insurance or inability to pay for services. As the nation's fourth oldest hospice and first hospice in Cincinnati, Hospice of Cincinnati has inpatient centers in Blue Ash, Western Hills and Hamilton, as well as residential and nursing home care available throughout the region. In 2005, Hospice of Cincinnati served over 6,000 terminally ill patients and their families in Greater Cincinnati.
Because Bethesda donors know we all may face our own terminal illness or that of a loved one, they continue a history of commitment to this important service in which we all have a stake.
FERNSIDE
Fernside: A Center for Grieving Children is the children's bereavement program offered by Hospice of Cincinnati. Founded in 1986 by Rachel Burrell in memory of her son, David, Fernside offers peer support to children and their parents/guardians who have experienced the death of a family member or loved one. When Fernside first opened its doors, it was only the second center for grieving children in the United States. To date, Fernside is nationally recognized and has helped over 5,500 children discover that life can go on after such a significant loss. All peer support services for children and their families are free of charge.
