Volunteer of the Year

Auxiliary Names Tracey Stephenson as the 2024 Bethesda Outstanding Volunteer of the Year

Tracy StephensonThe Bethesda Auxiliary has named Tracey Stephenson as the Betty J. Turner Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.

Tracey has volunteered at Bethesda North since 2018 and has logged over 2100 volunteer hours. Tracey was nominated for this award by the Mom and Baby unit at Bethesda North where she prepares over 400 patient folders each month and tracks supplies making sure the unit is full stocked at all times. Her nominator, Stacy May, says that Tracey “hasn’t missed a beat” with the increased number of babies being born at Bethesda, and the team does not know what they would do without Tracey.

Hospital team members were invited to submit nominations for the Volunteer of the Year. Tracey was nominated for this award along with 10 other volunteers:

All nominees were recognized at the Auxiliary’s Fall luncheon and presented with flowers and a professional portrait. For her award, Tracey received a gift card to the Joseph Beth Gift Shop and her name is now on the Volunteer Award plaque that is visible outside the Creekside Café. This plaque lists every Volunteer of the Year since the award’s inception in 1995.
