George Leasure
Giving Rooted in Our Community
Mr. George Leasure has been a long time member of the Cincinnati Community. George graduated from Miami University in 1954 and went on to earn a MASS degree from Case – Western Reserve University in 1956. Through hard work and determination, George became the founder of his family owned business, Ghent Manufacturing, Inc. in 1976. Since then the company has grown to include several divisions: Ghent, VividBoard and Waddell and has been renamed GMI Companies. GMI makes dry erase boards and other visual communications products.
George is very active in the Lebanon community and serves on many boards and committees and has also received numerous awards for his leadership and generosity including the MANNY Hall of Fame Leadership award, the Lebanon Chamber Humanitarian Award and the Lebanon Chamber Citizen of the Year award.
George and GMi started their generous giving to the Bethesda Foundation in 1989 and have continued their support through 2016.
“We continue to support the Bethesda Foundation because they do great work on so many fronts. My personal favorite is the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Care. I knew Mary Jo and she was a great lady.”
It is because of donors like George Leasure and GMi Companies that the Bethesda Foundation is able to continue to care for our community through Bethesda Hospitals, Hospice of Cincinnati and Fernside: A Center for Grieving Children.
